The 29th Annual Quilt Workshop, sponsored by the Brushy Mountain Quilters Guild and the Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Center. This exciting event hosts quilters from across the region for their choice of five all day classes in quilting techniques and production.
The workshop hours are 8:30 am until 5:00pm. Openings are available in each of the five classes: Gobble Up the Scraps by Carol Britt, Metro Hoops by Robbin Dorrier, The Garden Lattice by Patricia Gabriel, 4-Pack Stacked Posies by Terrie Townsend, and Stain Glass Doodles by Bonnie Shropshire. Workshop registration includes instruction in the five-hour class of each participant�s choosing, coffee break and instructor�s display, lunch, Lucas Mansion Gallery tour and dessert. Class sizes are limited; interested quilters are encouraged to register by calling the Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Center or by e-mail In addition to the scheduled classes, the workshop will feature a special one-day sewing boutique, provided by Carol Britt of Batiks Etcetera and Sew What Fabrics. The shop will be filled with special fabrics and treasures that will delight sewing enthusiasts and will be open to the public, as well as to workshop registrants, throughout the day.
During the workshop lunch break, participants will visit the Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Center�s Lucas Mansion Gallery to view the Brushy Mountain Quilters Guild annual exhibition, �Anything Goes,�
The registration fee is $75 per person
