Beginning September 1, 2015, the Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Centers newly established Emerging Artists Wall exhibit space will feature the work of potter, Roger Jansen. The exhibit will be on display through October 31st at the Centers Lucas Mansion, which is located at 316 Hiddenite Church Road in Alexander County.

Jansens work showcases a West meets East merge of California and Northwest NC pottery styles and traditions. Jansen resides in California for half of the year, where he completes throwing and bisque firing for his pottery designs. The remainder of the year, Jansen lives in Hiddenite, NC, using the Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Centers pottery studio to complete the glazing and firing process.

The Emerging Artists Wall is part of the Centers recent expansion of their gallery offerings to include exhibit space devoted to bringing greater awareness to the diversity and abundance of talent among artists and art students in the region.
