The Hiddenite Center will host a meet the artists reception and awards ceremony to honor all participants in the adult division of their annual Local Artist Exhibit and Competition. The reception will be held in the Lucas Mansion Gallery from 3:00pm until 4:30pm. The awards ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30pm. Light refreshments will be served and artists will be available to discuss their work with visitors. The reception and the exhibit are free to attend and are open to the public.

The Local Artist Exhibit and Competition Adult Division will be on display in the Lucas Mansion Gallery from April 3 � April 30, 2015. While the competition portion of the show is open to Alexander County residents, the exhibit includes the work of regional artists. This unique exhibit showcases an increasingly diverse body of work, including entries in painting, drawing, pottery, sculpture, photography, mixed media, and quilting.
