During the months of May and June 2015, The Hiddenite Center�s Lucas Mansion Gallery features the work of Cassandra Cushman, a mixed media artist from Goose Creek, South Carolina. In her debut one-woman exhibit, Cassandra unique artistic style combines traditional painting with mixed media collage and art journaling techniques.

The Hiddenite Center will host a reception honoring Cassandra Cushman on Saturday, May 16th from 3:00pm until 5:00pm in the Lucas Mansion Gallery, located at 316 Hiddenite Church Road in Alexander County. The reception will also include a gallery demonstration by the artist, offering visitors a rare glimpse into the creative process and providing helpful tips to those who are interested in developing mixed media skills. Light refreshments will be served during the reception, which is free and open to the public.
