In an expansion of their Faculty Art Biennial, the Appalachian State University Art Department will reach beyond Boone with a satellite exhibition in the Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Center�s Lucas Mansion Gallery. A collaboration between the Smith Gallery and the Turchin Center for the Visual Arts, the Appalachian State University Faculty Biennial offers the public a comprehensive glimpse into the multidisciplinary studios of Appalachian State University�s Art Department.

The Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Center is pleased to provide a new venue for the Appalachian State University Faculty Biennial, offering the region an expanded opportunity to view this innovative body of work.

The Faculty Biennial satellite exhibition at the Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Center will be open to the public during the month of February 2016. The public is invited attend an opening reception in honor of exhibiting artists on Tuesday, February 9th from 5:30pm � 6:30pm in the Lucas Mansion Gallery, which is located at 316 Hiddenite Church Road in Alexander County. The reception is free to attend; light refreshments will be served and artists will be available to discuss their exhibited works.
