Pat Flachbart has been teaching all media of painting through for the past seven years. She exhibits her work at Full Circle Arts in Hickory, the Hickory Museum of Art and various venues throughout the year.
Exploration and experimentation are the guiding forces in Pats life and work. Her journey through life has taken her from St. Louis, Missouri to Paris, France, to Monterey County and the Sierra Foothills of California, and all the way to Hickory, NC. Pat explores and experiments with oil painting, watercolor, acrylic, her exquisite handmade paper and her most unique raku pottery pieces. She enjoys sharing her enthusiasm with her painting and pottery students. Pat describes herself as a hands-in and hands-on artist.
As Pat puts it: My work reflects my travels, my home, my love of nature and my interests in expression and experimentation. I continuously attempt to step into the unknown and test new and innovating methods and materials testing my patience and challenging whats conventional.
