The Hiddenite Center�s popular new class series, �Saturday Crafternoons at the Lucas Mansion,� will continue on Saturday, July 19, 2014 with a project entitled Summer Greetings Card Making. Participants in this Saturday afternoon craft class will learn to create a scrapbook style greeting card that features a unique all in one card and envelope paper folding technique. A variety of printed papers, punches, and embellishments will be available for participants to use in creating greetings cards that reflect their own style and personality.

This fun and innovative class will be held from 1:00pm-2:00pm on Saturday, July 19th at The Hiddenite Center�s Lucas Mansion, which is located at 316 Hiddenite Church Road in Alexander County. Cost for attending the class is only $5 per person (plus NC sales tax) with all materials included. Class space is limited to 10 participants; early reservations are encouraged and may be made by calling (828) 632-6966.

Crafternoon classes are specially designed to appeal to crafters of all ages including children, teens, and adults. According to Hiddenite Center Director of Communications, Miranda Burgin, �each class in the crafternoon series is designed to provide an affordable and creative opportunity for learning new crafting techniques during convenient, 1-hour sessions.�

Class participants are welcome to arrive early for class so that they can enjoy our Lucas Mansion gallery exhibits, museum, and collections during their visit. The Hiddenite Center�s Lucas Mansion is open to the public Monday � Friday from 10:00am until 4:30pm and on Saturday from 10:00am until 3:00pm.
