The Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Center�s Annual Summer Art Camp for Children begins on June 16, 2015 and this year�s camp theme, �Painting with the Masters� will guide students on an exciting journey of creative discovery. Instructor, Martha Burgin has planned a six-week course of fun and innovative art projects inspired by famous works of art by master painters Van Gogh, Picasso, Monet, and many more. Each class will feature a project designed to help students discover their own unique talents while learning about the great artists and art movements. Students of all experience levels are welcome and the camp is open to children ages 4 and older.

Held at the Center�s Educational Complex ( 70 Hiddenite Church Road), the camp will emphasize experience in a wide range of artistic mediums including collage art, clay hand building, drawing, and more. Art camp instructor and Hiddenite Arts & Heritage staff member, Martha Burgin, is a skillful art teacher with more than twenty-five years of experience. The Center�s Summer Art Camp is well suited to children who are just beginning to develop their creative skills, intermediate students, and advanced student artists alike.

Art Camp dates are as follows: June 16th and June 23rd, July 7th, July14 th, July 21st, and July 28th. Classes for ages 4 � 8 (4 and 5 year old students must be accompanied by an adult during the class) are held from 10:00am until 12:00noon. Classes for students 9 and older are held from 1:00pm until 3:00pm.

Cost for attending the full six-week Summer Art Camp is only $50 per student (prepaid for all six sessions) for the public or $45 per student for dues paying members of the Friends of the Center program.
