It is time once again for The Hiddenite Center�s Annual Summer Art Camp for Children and this year�s theme is �Vacation Station.� Instructor, Martha Burgin has planned a six week course of fun, creative, and innovative art projects designed to appeal to children ages 4 and older.
Art Camp Students will create exciting art pieces inspired by trains, vacations, and summer travel destinations. The camp will emphasize experience in a wide range of artistic mediums including collage art, clay hand building, drawing, and more. The Hiddenite Center�s Summer Art Camp will appeal to beginners and experienced students alike.
The Hiddenite Center�s �Vacation Station� Summer Art Camp will meet at the Hiddenite Center Educational Complex (70 Hiddenite Church Road) on Tuesdays during the months of June and July 2014.
Art Camp dates are as follows: June 17, 24; July 8, 15, 22, 29
Classes for ages 4 � 8 (4 and 5 year old students must be accompanied by an adult during the class) are held from 10:00am until 12:00noon. Classes for students 9 and older are held from 1:00pm until 3:00pm.
Cost for attending the full six week Summer Art Camp is only $50 per student (prepaid for all six sessions ) for the public or $45 per student for dues paying members of the Hiddenite Center's �Friends� program. Students can also enroll in single day classes for only $10 per class. Snacks will be provided for students each day. Reservations are required for the Summer Art Camp and may be made by calling (828) 632-6966.
Classes for ages 4 � 8 are held from 10:00am until 12:00noon.
Classes for students 9 and older are held from 1:00pm until 3:00pm.
